The Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON) is intended to serve as an umbrella organisation for national Farmer Organisations (FOs), to coordinate capacity building, share success stories and the lessons learnt and support regional exchanges of expertise between FOs and their associated private sector partners. PIFON is proud to announce that it has recently signed a contract to support the CIDP over the next 16 months. Through its network, PIFON will be providing a range of expertise to CIDP to carry out market studies and value chain analysis for a range of coconut products from the region. PIFON through its national farmer organisation members will help to provide a ‘farmers perspective’ to the development of this sector in the various countries.

Pacific Horticultural Market Access Project (PHAMA)

The Pacific Horticultural and Agricultural Market Access Program (PHAMA) is working with the public and private sectors to support Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs) manage regulatory aspects and utilise opportunities to export a wider range of primary and value added commodities including fresh and processed plant and animal products.
